The Tanana Yukon Historical Society’s mission is to collect and share State and local historical knowledge through public lectures and events; historical preservation and cultural resource management projects; historical grant writing and administration; and operation of the Wickersham House Museum, Pioneer Park, Fairbanks, Alaska.

We work with the US Army to discover and maintain Alaska history on military lands, and assist the Army in its government-to-government process with Alaska Native groups. We also help support students who participate annually in National History Day. This academic enrichment program helps students discover historical issues, ideas, people, and events. The oldest home in Fairbanks, Wickersham House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located at Pioneer Park. It serves as a museum devoted to the life and times of Judge Wickersham and the authentic recreation of early days in Fairbanks. Explore the home
